Carver can only heal you if you are low in health at the moment, He does not have any potion for sale that you can carry with you.
You must actually visit a Medicinal character to purchase the various potions and elixers. The one on Port Royal is named Thomas Stareaston and he is located a little inland on the right from the Shipwright's office (the half sunken ship on the beach) |

hmm.. I belive i found one in the little town around the blacksmith and cannonner.. and I think the voodoo chick at the wagon had something for sale too but I am not sure I have playing aroud in cuba for 2 days lol

Is anyone else having trouble buying healing from the NPC's? I used to do it all the time, now they just say they can't help me.
