SvS ships launched from non-SvS islands
The SvS turned PvP issue is getting so ridiculous! Yesterday we were out sailing in SvS for Spanish on Andoso, we got heavily damaged after sinking an enemy ship and all the sudden we started getting damage from nowhere. The compass indicated only BLUE dots around us. We got sunk before we realized where it was coming from. After respawning we looked at the Privateering history and it said French ABC ship sunk us. Checking the scoreboard, ABC was no where on the scoreboard at all. The Privateering history kept updating ABC ship was sinking a lot of our teammates' ships but this ship wasn't on the scoreboard. We finally came across ABC, they came right up to our island, and the war sloop just parked there & shot us. The problem here was ABC was a NON-SvS ship!!!! We tried to hit them but the dumb game would shoot up in red words "can't damage other player's ships". What apparently happened was they launched their ship from a non-SvS island and the French crew boarded that ship. So the ship was a normal ship appearing BLUE on the compass that we can't damage, yet the crew on board were French and they went on a spree sinking pretty much everyone PvP-style. We couldn't hurt their ship but they could hurt ours & sink us. The only way we could've hurt them was shooting perfectly aimed cannons right at them individually at their pirate character, which is literally humanly impossible in SvS when ships are moving & what not, not to mention the lag... even tho somehow my friend actually got hit & killed by thunderbolts... ::screams "AIM-BOTS!!!!":: I seriously didn't think "aim-bots" existed, but omg after yesterday, I have no idea what to think now in addition to non-SvS ships being able to sink SvS ships...that totalllly should not be allowed!!! =(

I do wish they had read Poison Elf's bug reports on CREW, before releasing to OPEN. It is as if they knew in advance how easy it would be, to find and exploit, then put it on open servers just to get rid of people that were partly able to tolerate SvS up to now.
By the way, thunderbolt auto-targets more than any other ammo...that's why you can easily hit a Death Omen three compass-widths away, with thunderbolt. Did they change the targetting selection of the POTCO game itself, to target people before masts now? (Thunderbolt should do zero hull damage - the only hits that should happen from a lightning strike, are to the masts. But since sail damage doesn't slow SvS ships down, that would make it useless. *sigh*) |

Question: their broadsides were ineffective against you, right? It was only glitched crew members on cannon firing thunderbolt and fury? (Infinite ammo, I assume...)

I wish they payed attention on this one myself before releasing it live. It probably was the biggest glitch I saw through out the entire test.
The trouble with this is it multiplies to many different areas. To on land hand to hand, to this on a regular ship doing damage to opponent and ship in svs while basically invulnerable themselves but from navy and eitc. As well as preventing guilds who like to always remain crewed, while all doing different things. One person sets the crew to svs, nobody will get rep. Probably worse than anything, is the minority of people aware of it off the boards here, versus unknowing players. |

Yup that happened to me, the moment I launched my ship from an SvS island, my guildmates in crew stopped getting rep points even tho they were on the other side of the map, no where near me. |
