Ships don't dock...

Anyone else having this bug?
My ship stays on the ocean no matter what I do. I logged out for 8 hours, come back and my ship is still launched.
Can't drive it can't launch another.

Hmm hasn't happened to me yet. Usually when I log out while sailing I end up on the island I launched from. Hope it gets fixed for you though. You should file a bug report (although it may not work) and see if it gets fixed.

I haven't had that problem, ... perhaps you can allow yourself to be sunk if you can spare the repair bill.

I have noticed a similar glitch where my 'Drop Anchor' button sometimes stays active after I leave port, no matter how far I go out in the ocean. Then, when I get to my destination island and drop anchor, it takes me back to my departure port. I have found a workaround for this - if you get so close to your destination that you get the "Can't sail so close to land" message, then dropping anchor will put you at your destination.

I discovered this last night, returning to your port of call, may need to reboard and do it again usually clears the glitch.

I have reported it. If you experience this please report it as well.

I have found the solution to this bug.

It may seem strange, but I went crazy when my 40,000 gold War Galleon jammed like this.

So, here's what to do.

1. Kill yourself (pirate character of course)
2. Board your stuck ship. Attempt to stear. It won't let you, but you must try. Then fire a cannon so it recognises this.
3. Teleport off back onto Port Royal or Tortuga
4. Re-board, it will then be fixed!

Worked for me every time, and it crashed like this at least 8 times for me.

I haven't had that happen, but I did "lose" my ships once on beta. When I went to launch there was no ship to launch. I remembered somebody else here saying this had happened to them, so I sighed and then spent the hard earned gold I'd been saving for a bigger ship on another midsize frigate, only to have the first one reappear later...

I've had this happen a few times, mostly when I go to Driftwood for some reason.

There is a much simpler way to fix it than killing yourself though

go to your ship
have someone come to you
log out (completly)
log back in, then have the person leave your ship.

It has worked for me every time this has happened. and yes I have reported it.
