I have a similar goal while waiting for new content, although a much more modest goal, getting my main pirate Jason into the Top 1000 All-Time for Kills and Sinks. I'm getting close, I'm in the Top 1500 or thereabouts right now.

The top of the leaderboards - never for me, I get nowhere near enough online time to even think about that, and I've always come by my kills and sinks the old fashioned way, I've earned them. I'm not going to stoop to AFK'ing on a friend or guildmates ship to pad my stats.

as my guild will attest to i use to go for the leader board after mastering all my pirates ....it was fun for a while...but that to got boring....so i havint been playin much.... still waiting on new content....hurry up big-d

If you check the leaderboards on a daily basis, you used to often see that there would be more than one pirate attached to the same Disney account, who not only were on the leaderboards, but had the exact same number of ships sunk. (Or within just a couple.)

This was the result of one person using two computers and LINKED accounts to log in two pirates at the same time. One would sail, and the other would just be a passenger on the ship. Both would get credit for all the ships sunk.

All they were trying to do was pad the scores. Making the leaderboards pretty much a joke.

I've done that. A few times I logged in with three accounts tabbed over and then either make sure they all had the same number or I'd make them all have a different number sunk (such as 120 - 121 - 122)
But now most of the time I would only use two computers. I'd sail with the left hand on the key board and than on the right I'd use the cannons. I'd sail around doing this and hardly look at the left computer while doing so.

I do have one pirate in the top 100 overall list but lately I have dwindled a good 13 spots down. Before with the tab I would be sailing the ship around at a very slow crawl just sinking ships and I'd do quests on the other or just leveling up on stumps.

Unless Disney were to give me something for being on the leader boards, I see no reason to try. I made the boards twice in my 2 years playing, once for hitting 40 and the other for most kills but that was due to being very bored, wife out of town and trying to level my pirate.

I can use two accounts on the same computer all you need to do is make another user accounts on your pc and create two user accounts with potc that's how i level up so fast i just do this for the extra rep points lol it may be considered as cheating but i dont really care if it levels me up faster rather then relying on others to help then heck i will do it.

If you have not looked lately there is some new stuff they just added to the game more cargo has been added and a new revive systems has been put into place.Witch i dont like it hate it i would rather go to jail fast they did not change the timer on the groggy at all it's still the same time.

For my old guild when we had a contest the contest was t o see who got the most kills in a month and i ended up in sec to one of my firends we both had 20k in kills he only led bye 100 or so.

I all so agree Dr. Zeppers it do's not really make you the best really just shows you how much you have done sense you started the guild.Do's not mean your the best like some of the top guilds they my have 500 players but a smaller guild like that have only 50 to 100 can bet them i have seen it done.

Just curious how do you do that, even with the gators on cuba you would have to play for 24hrs straight without stopping for anything? No sleep, no bathroom no leaving the comp at all!

I agree Crazy, how? I went for four hours, with brakes, defeating enemies in the Port Royal graveyard and only got to 3600.

Ahh... Warlord... He and many others of McRaging including Scorpia Inferno,
Angel Blasthazzard, and Cyrus the Virus whittle away the hours at cuba. I'm in McRaging and they ( Angel does ) almost never talk.

There are some players who use a macro keyboard, mouse, or program set up to play so that they can rank and or level faster and higher than anyone else usually while they are not even in the same room as their computer, which makes it hard for them to respond to chat. I personally dont understand the fun of playing a game your not really playing but to each his own, until Disney decides to crack down on those using macros it will continue to happen and make it hard to recognize those who actually play the game and deserve credit for their acomplishments.

Just a reply to Crazypirate . No one from McRaging has ever nor will ever use any type of macro program to get on boards. If someone is on leaderboards from McRaging , it is legit time spent sitting at their computers. And if someone from Mcraging is witnessed doing this , please pm me and it will be dealt with.

Just to clarify i never said McRaging nor any of its members did those things just that some players want to top the leaderboards or be one of the first to 50 so bad they will cheat in whatever way they can to do so. I personally do not put much value on being able to kill more lvl 1-3 enemies than anyone else but if thats your thing have fun with it.

Aye, it's best just to try and enjoy the game, everybody is different, so their type of joy may be different. I do enjoy sailing, and try for all on board to get rep, gold, or whatever is needed--within reason of course, lol. And if I make the leaderboards, that's awesome. It is still a little quirky though, hopefully all the bugs will be worked out of it in time.
