HELP,....

sorry to sound so desperate but,..
This is a crisis, i can't get on,... my character needs me....
Ok,.. calm myself,..calm,...soothing words,......... ( )
I keep getting this error code of 3471

This is driving me crazy.
I see many people on the forums here tonight, and wonder,..is anyone playing
from 6 pm pacific time until now (10 pm) ?
are others affected or is it on my end..?

problem still occuring, you were right StitchRokcs, the code is actually 347.
this is something on my side, but it's also happening to my whole family, through our network. i'm goin in for live chat to see if they can help.

seems like the game doesn't like wireless routers sometimes. I had a lot of problems a few weeks back, and used live support and also send in a bug report with my files. The guy looked at my logs as we chatted and said there is a problem with my wireless router. I didn't quite understand since I had been using it since day one and even in beta and never had a single problem with it, but he told me to hook the cable modem up straight to the computer so I did and it fixed it. However, I was the only one that night with internet access since the router was unplugged and it made for some unhappy people at my house! So when I plugged the router back in later, it worked just fine. Not sure what the problem was!

I use a wireless router and always have and only very occasionally have problems with it , also I would not really place much relevance to what tech support says as at leas in my experience they are not much above call takers and will automatically blame wireless connections or anything else they can , and yes I work in tech support and am more than savy to the type of fob off responces that we give

I have been disconnected before and when checking with my crew they were also disconnected at the same time which to me at least puts much more likelyhood on a game fault than a fault on my end.

Yes wireless routers are more prone to disconnections but in general most are quite good and more than up to handling the kind of traffic that potc will generate. it may also be worthwhile changing your wireless channel if it is getting interference.

another thing to check is if the adsl router itself is lossing synchronisation at the same time you are disconnected and if the problem occurs whe you are using wireless with all the other computers in the house turned off as may also be caused by a miss configured / faulty network card or router.

Hey Gang, went to live chat with this, the teck says he's getting the same issues when he tried to logon to my account from there.

earlier Tech said to do 2 things, upgrade firmware for modem, (which actually fried my modem from my isp, their sending me another in the morning, thank heavens for backups) and properly reconfigure port settings
here was a copy for edification for all in case others have this issue.... (my real name is Drew,...btw)

JAMES: According to your log files the last time you played, it looks like you were disconnected from the server, but the game continued to try downloading and updating. Since you are connected to a wireless capable router/modem, I only have two suggestions for you to try since we do not support these type of connections. First, try updating the firmware of your modem/router. You can usually find updates with your modem/router manufacturer. Second, try configuring port triggering for your modem/router. Again, your modem/rotuer manufacturer can assist you with this type of configuration. You will also need the following information for this type of configuration: Our servers require TCP ports 80 (HTTP), 443 (HTTPS), and 7667 (game) to be open for sending and receiving packets.

DREW: disconnection were very common, so your saying a modem without wireless ability is better for POCO?

Now, the Last tech is currently investigating the matter, he said it looked like there was a disconnection during a update and it may have tweaked my account !!.... talk about glitch!...oops!
it is affecting all 4 accounts tied in (mine and three of my kids)

Hey Gang,...
Here is the latest with the glitch that has affected our whole family. No POCO for 4 days now,.... although we truly are understanding, we are bummed out with the lost momentum and excitement of the game. I'm sure we'll get it back and the Tecs are doing their best and working diligently (i hope) to fix this especially since we have 4 paying accounts for our kids under one umbrella account, mine.
All our accounts were locked up at connection with this weird error code of 347.

1) This went at first to a level 1 online support Technician,... they gave me advice of updating firmware and then opening specific ports
since my modem is both direct and wireless, this did not work,.. they also told me to disconnect any security software that may be disallowing access.
2) This went to a Sr. Developer for review,... no direct response except that he could not fix it and it is being sent up.
3) This went to the Pirates Engineering Team and now we wait,...

We are having the exact same problem.

Three accounts, 3 laptops, wireless router. Going on for days now.

I was going to just cancel all the subscriptions, but maybe I'll wait and see what happens with yours.

Ok Gang,...
the game wide problem i was having is repaired, patches went this friday morning game wide.

I was down for 2 weeks. POTCO engineers were very gracefull with me and my family. The fixed my name,... no more generic "bill sunbowers" ,.. it's officially Achilles (as it was supposed to be)

i was able to transfer all my money from a temp account I made over to my main account so at least it wasn't a complete loss. ($8800.00 transfered)

Back playing and having fun,.. I was 10k from getting my War Galleon 2 weeks ago,...
I made it in one day plundering with a friend Xaphor,..
I got my War Galleon,.. the Silver Raptor..... WoooT! (i too feel accomplished)

Xaphor,......who,..btw,..
made level 40 on his noteriety !!! i was there,.. it was soo cool to see.


So,... hopefully locked up accounts with error code 347 is a thing of the past...
