In case someone was still wondering...
"We will still be sending out newsletters, but you will be receiving these when we have major updates or changes to the game. For the most current news and information, the Current News page will still be your best source for upcoming changes, updates, events, and contests." That is the answer i got from them when i asked about the Newsletter, amongst various other things
