Back when the notoriety cap was raised level 50's were still getting rep for invasions and treasures, this caused them to go up another level which is why she is a level 52.

I've even seen level 54 pirates, and my friends reported level 57's were sighted

Uh, Polly has been 52 for a long time now. That was taken way back at the Feats Of Strength. Tom has it right on how it happened. When invasions were added D forgot to figure that into the level cap, and we got higher levels than 50's. I once personally saw a 58, and at least one 55. D fixed the cap, and now nobody can get higher than 50. However they did not, as far as I know, strip the levels from those who had them. But I'm not sure about that. I haven't seen any +50s out lately, but they could just be that the people who have them stopped using them in favor of mastering other pirates.

They fixed all of the level 50+ pirates that I know. I have two friends who were both 52 (one of which was mentioned here), both of them are level 50 again. I think there was also talk of someone abusing a glitch in the game that allowed you to repeat the same quest over and over, and that the person who did that was in the 60's.

i personally STILL have a friend that was lvl. 53 but got banned.How come d never fix the account had they fixed her pirate
