I know this is off the thread topic... but I need to respond to Davy's quote.....

They REALLY need to at least raise the notoriety cap.
With potions & now fishing being released, I have seen pirates with noto at nearly 20, & their weapons levels are not even past 3.
An adjustment needs to be made to the noto cap, to account for the usless rep these activities give.
I say leave the weapons cap alone for now.

I'm with you, the not cap does need to go up. I think though that it does tie into this thread. I think this blade might be a teaser of things to come on Raven's Cove, and the more powerful enemies supposedly there. If this is a preview of coming attractions I find it very interesting the turn this could be taking....

Maybe if we send in the idea of raising the level cap for notoriety then maybe they will make it so? Also I think for a little side thing to add in this October is to decorate the game with pumpkins etc. maybe add a creepy outfit to the tailors but thats what I think as well.

Well, we're going to have stronger enemies when the Raven's Cove quest arrives. And, truth be told, we actually would need around 1,000,000 Rep. I'm sure for Lv50, you need around 1,000,000, though not sure if that was the same for Lv40 (not likely, though).

I estimate that it'll be somewhere around the 80,000-90,000 range for rep needed for Lv60, and, if it goes to 70, though unlikely, 100,000-110,000.

Anyway, I hate to ask this "again" but, when do you guys think that Raven's Cove will be "accessible" to land/port on, on the test game/server? I've heard sooner than we think etc, so maybe tomorrow since it's an update day or is it more likely to come next week?

But would we get another notoriety rasie so soon from the previous one? since I think they were prob expecting us to level from 40-50 from the new weapons levels and story quest, but of course it didn't really work out sa they planned probably, since these stuff came out a lot later, but reading from what the dev team said on the web... level 50 was what they were thinking about. But of course... they havent updated that for a very long time..

Yea... I remember the days when I looked at that life drain skill and said, "Wow... if only I could get that skill..." Now, there are no skills left for me, and weapon grinding gets boring... although the loot is nice. If they raise the caps, they should give us motivation to level up, other than for the sake of leveling.
