Ok one thing, I don't get is. Why does the quest end with you defeating El Patron and taking a cursed blade. Why can't you also take a cursed blade to Captain Jack Sparrow so the Rum Blockade will stop and he can finally defeat Jolly Roger once and for all? Maybe this is the next update to the test game after Raven's Cove and The Raven's Cove Quest comes to Live perhaps? :/

Defeating Jolly Roger once and for all would destroy the game. If he was destroyed, all the skeletons would be gone, all the quests involving skeletons would be editted (virtually destroying the Black Pearl quest,) all the invasions would stop, and the game would be nothing compared to what it is with Roger. When the quest says "the only way to defeat Jolly Roger," I'm pretty positive that means, as in, winning a fight against him, sending him in to hiding again, and etc.

Besides, we're pirates. If Jack wants a Cursed Blade so bad, he can go plunder it himself!

Del does hae a point though, why are we helping him? Is it fair? We recovered the pearl and he got us almost killed by Jolly Roger. Now we have to go save Ravens Cove and his rum? Go to Rumrunners Island if you need it so bad! Your supposed to be the most notorious pirate, but you can't even take down Roger when some people do it alone? I mean, is it that hard to go do it yourself? Or will you just sit in the tavern looking scared? Thanks alot, we appreaciate all of your "help".

This all MIGHT be leading up to the kraken. I know there is still a low chance that it will come anytime soon but it is still a possibility. The reason I say this is because a long time ago, someone from potco said that in the future there would be things like notoriety increases, mini games(fishing, potion brewing, ship repair and cannon defense) and new story quests.(ravens cove) that would tie to the next story chapter like Davy jones and the kraken. Probably nothing but you never know.

Correct, and remember how they said the black spot will probably lead to the kraken? Well obviously, that new emote shows that you have a spot of black on your hand. In the first movie, jack has the black spot, and then davy jones appears. Who knows at this point.

I really hope they are finally tying this all together. I want somebody to do that emote then go sailing, see what happens.

There's no way the Kraken won't be coming to the game, he's a huge part of the movies. We had the black pearl, all we need left is Davy Jones and then killing his pet.

Keep in mind that they still need a bunch of islands to make the Kraken quest work, if he ever comes out. Singapore, Ship Wreck Cove, the native island, frozen water areas.... and don't forget, we'll need some of those sweet Asian ships they had in the third movie. What would a Kraken quest be without those?

I'd like to point out this.... human being vs jolly roger who can own a single pirate by himself....

Anyways according to the story, HE'S TRYING TO GET JACK TO COME OUT, so we have to help hiim without him actually LEAVING the tavern, that ruins the whole point if he goes to Rumrunner's, cause then Jolly will find him, kill him, and we have no main story guy anymore.

Personally, I would feed Jack to an alligator the first chance I get... he freed me from jail, so I helped rescue his ship... now can he please get off his lazy bum and do something? Some people idolize Jack, I don't. Im pretty sure most of us could beat him in a good sword fight.

guys let remember if they made him a real player like as good as he is in the movie we would have nothing left to do the game is supossed to make us feel better than jack like we were the most notories pirate and again hes just and NPC it be different if he was a disney person playing for real

Yeah, that's a ton of new stuff. I would say that the second story chapter would be much harder to create than the first. And yeah, the kraken probably will come...eventually. But it's really strange that it has taken so long. It seems like at the launch of the game, back in 07 they had the kraken and Davy jones already created, it shows video of both of them in the first trailer. Also in 06, people got a sneak peek at the unfinished game and were able to test the kraken boss battle. That was four years ago and it's still not here! What's up with that? The only thing I can think of is lots of problems or something.

I think the Kraken will eventually come as well. Just there are lots of things they want to release first, or maybe there are a lot of problems like johnny suggested.
Either way I believe it will come. Just gotta be patient and enjoy what we get now, right?

Arg, must I keep saying it?! The Kraken won't come until the time is right! We are dealing with Raven's Cove and El Patron right now, not giant squid. If they dropped the Kraken in right now, it would be too awkward. They will build up to it later. As Chimera Doll said, be happy with what we are getting now. It will come when the time is right!
