I got this email from Disney this morning


Hello,

Thank you for your email. I appreciate that you have taken the time to contact us back about this situation. I can see and acknowledge that you did contact us at the beginning of March when the current situation arose and became apparent to us. During the first week or so of this issue, there was no information for us to accurately determine what the cause of the problem was.

The issue was determined, shortly after our last contact with you on March 09, 2012, to stem from some satellite Internet providers changing the bandwidth available to their customers. This change in bandwidth may not effect any of your daily or normal browsing from website to website, however some internet services such as our Disney Online games require a constant connection with a large bandwidth to ensure all data is streamed and received accurately.

I apologize that we were not able to recognize the issue sooner to help support you in what steps to take. Even now, we are still encouraging our players to contact their Internet provider. Some of our guests have confirmed that their providers did not recognize any errors when completing scans, however the issue seems to lie within the bandwidth. This is not something that I would be able to speak into but your satellite provide would be more knowledgeable about this. Unfortunately, there has been no communication to us regarding possible solutions or outcomes to this issue, so I still cannot provide any light on the issue.

We appreciate all of our players and fans, and hope to continue providing a fun experience, but we also recognize how negatively this issue has impacted our players that use a satellite connection.

So I guess that there is nothing that Disney can do to help us with this problem, it is something we need to contact our satellite provider with
