Marauders and Barracudas

Ok, i'm an idiot. Where can I find Marauders and Barracudas to sink and get Lore Pages? Thanks for any help you can give.

I took Marauders on Salty Flats, Mariners Reef, Dead Man's Trough, and Brigand Bay. I took the Barracuda on Salty Flats, Boiling Bay, Mariners Reef, and Dead Man's Trough.

I found I got credit for the kill more reliably when I was tracking any one of the ships from that part of that quest.

You can also check the spots listed here and here. These posts were found with the forum search feature using the word "Marauder", and searching for posts within the last week.

I think the underlying point that the search feature is there for a reason is quite valid; however, I also think that relating information about ship locations is better done by the seas they travel rather than the land masses to which they have no apparent tie and may not be visible from the near coastline of said land masses.

EDIT: Also, I realize it isn't particularly relevant since both those citations are more recent than the update itself, but the conditions at sea changed considerably with the latest update. In particular, the Dead Man's Trough is now more clearly a high level sea, with added Predators and overall more high-level traffic and less low-level traffic (they tend to stay in Bloody Bayou when they're south of Cuba).

ok there is one that respawns really fast and always as a maurder near outcast just sail around there till u find it. sink it about 30 seconds a new one will appear and so forth

for the barracuda you can find one that respawns right off the coast of peridia and sails to cuba and back to peridia WARNING: it is a flag ship and will always respawn as a flag ship! occasionally u will get about 4 mercs but mostly u get hire-guns so be ready!

for corvettes one respans to the left of tortuga if u are sailing away from tortuga this respawns ever 15 seconds afetr death

for sea vipers they respawn all around the devils anvil

marauders are right in front of isla perdida

Southwest of Padres, closer to Outcast, and keep going south, you'll find a Marauder that pops right back after you sink it. With the new update you can probably find Barracuda flags in front of Perdida now, they show up in the same place everytime they sink. Flags can give you lore pages too, just at random like non-flags. Marauders are also Northeast of Perdida. This is the exact same way I got my lore pages from these ships.

Those 2 places are where I got all mine done at. Also the corvette spawns off Anvil closer to tortuga. As for teh sea vipers....the waters were pretty empty of them yesterday

Okay, I have a question about the Lore pages quest, I have sunk all of every type of ship except the Marauder. I have sunk a couple dozen Marauders and so far only 2 have counted towards the 10 I need. What is the deal?

I've noticed this same behavior with Barracudas too. Sank one today. With the tracker set to "Barracudas".

I got nothing.

I've done the EITC ship sinking part of the Cutlass quest about 3 times now. I solo'ed my own quest on a long. clockwise, multi-stop tour of the Caribbean. I knocked off the same spawn a couple times in a row occasionally, but for the most part I never covered the same ground twice.

I sailed someone else through most of it as a mix between general sail, the EITC Ships, and the Skeleton ships from the doll quest; however, we did work the respawns. The third run through was just a brutalization of respawn points.

I did find it gave me credit more often when I was tracking the EITC ship sinking quests; but, so far as I know, no one that has sailed on my ship has received credit for each ship they sank. There were always some non-credited sinkings, even when the voyage was completely focused just on the EITC ship sinking part of the Cutlass quest.
