I have recently been in touch with Pirates online and have received these replies to them - copied as received

There are people saying that POTCO is closing, but it's only closing temporary whilst it gets a major update, could you confirm that this is 100% true? I have many pirates I have not yet mastered and I would like to master all my pirates before the game closes, I am even willing to spend £20 a month to keep POTCO going, if POTCO is closing for good, could you at least consider selling POTCO to Portalus Games please.

Also you may or may not be aware but there are currently petitions online for POTCO to be saved, as there are more fans of POTCO than there are for club penguin, please rethink your decision to close POTCO down.

Can I ask for clarification on this part of the statement that you said "AT THIS TIME" Does this mean we may be seeing Pirates Online coming back in the future?

There are currently no plans to bring back or re-open Pirates Online. It is with a heavy heart that we close Pirates Online as we thoroughly enjoyed interacting and adventuring with our Pirate guests. We sincerely hope you take advantage of the free, full unlimited access to Pirates Online between now and September 19, 2013. Please enjoy the special festivities and events to mark our final month on the high seas.

Pirates of the Caribbean Online will be closing on September 19, 2013. All Pirates can log into Pirates Online and enjoy full unlimited access for free, from now until September 19, 2013!
