No problem. That command has actually been available on Macs for years but was never publicized. I think I first read about it in an old issue of Macworld.

"Shift-Apple-3" captures the whole screen.
"Shift-Apple-4" brings up croshairs that you can then stretch to determine how much of the screen you want to capture but this would not be practical for Pirates.
