Guilds? What the heck are those things?

In my opinion sometimes guilds are just at times places to loose money and get too involved and end up in ashes. Some guilds are just, well, annoying.

How do you lose money being in a guild? My guild is amazing though, on a side note.

By trying to help people and using up tonics. Not to mention how much ship repairs cost.

Those are all things you choose to do while in a guild, if you don't want to spend money, doing something you'd be doing regardless of being in a guild or not, then just don't join in.
You don't have to get too involved either, you could just sit at the sidelines.

Personally, I don't mind spending, I love my guild, it's great, & it's worth spending gold on.
& anyway, if you're only counting tonics & ships, the maximum you can spend is 800 if you buy all the tonics & repair a war frigate, it's not really that much. You can easily make that back in Poker, or sailing with a crew or even just fighting enemies.

Yeah, I'm not getting the tonics thing...if you're needing to use a lot of tonics, you're probably just in a spot you're not ready for.

As for ship repairs...not getting that one either. I've made lots of gold sailing with the Wenches. Even if we do take a lot of damage (sinking is an extreme rarity), the captain's bonus alone more than covers repair costs.

Really, if you're not happy in a guild, find a new one - they're not all created equal (super understatement of the day! ).

well ive seen different guilds here are catagories i noticed:

Family Guild - a guild to where the members act like family they make fun of each other laugh around they do level the help each other out on quests and leveling enjoy doing many guild activites. a good guild to join if u want to lvl but have some fun at the same time.

Rep Guilds - these guilds are all about the rep they focus on only leveling and helping each other level and do quests very serious. a good guild to join if u want to level fast

Friends Guild or tight knit guild - a guild with only friends in other words a guild were a bunch of friends that knew each other in real life or on another game create a guild for themselves

Loose Guils - a MASSIVE guild very large has hundreds if not thousands of members but never speak and hardly know each other because it is huge. a good guild to join if u always want lots of people on.
