Hahaha, it looks like Disney is actually looking at these kinds of posts, captaindruidblade, it's actually a really useful advantage for them, with you showing off these glitches.

Fine by me, but just shows, that the glitchs that are REAL problems get addressed, others seldom do (for those feared of mentioning them that they might be fixed...)

The length of time required to address a glitch may more have to do with the difficulty of repair than the "real"-ness of the issue.

I figure the multiple repair glitch was a pretty easy fix, hence, fairly rapid turnaround. The Kingshead glitch will require a major revamp of the mapping software, and that will take a bigger release cycle to fix.

Well, there are dozens of Kingshead glitches. I assumed from what he wrote, that he was talking about the invisible & invincible KH glitch, not the harmless "no soldiers" glitch.

The SvS multiple repair spot-glitch was probably easy to find in their code (being so recently added) fairly simple to fix once found and of obvious importance to people (causing a lot of disruption.) I am glad they addressed it.

Yessir, thats the 'glitch' I was referring to.

Im glad they are fixing glitchs as well, particularly any that drag the systems down, and/or can be used to cheat other players.

I take what opportunities I can to promote individuals posting glitchs here in the forums, so if they are REAL problems they can become better known and hopefully resolved. Those secret ones only a select few know and arent telling will remain, and provided they can be used for cheating, cheating will remain. Disney is playing a numbers game. Why stop 1-100 cheaters, a waste of time.. when it its the 1000's it starts effecting others game play, gets thier attention, and gets fixed.

In the same situation, a glitch that doesnt harm anyone, cant be used to 'cheat', is actually used by members to have fun, etc has a lower priority and is likely filed to be addressed later.

I have no doubt that the 'ease' of addressing a glitch also plays a role in determining what is resolved now or later as well (as Whiskey referenced).

2. Can someone be driving the ship while its repairing?
3. When you exit the cannon you push esc., so if you can go on the cannon, how will you get off? Push F1 or something?

See now guys im not so bad, i wanted this fixed to
despite the fact that i used it against people cheeting against me.

but theres another way thats funny more than cheeting and im not telling
because of all the bad rep i get from everyone

oh and so all you know im the reason that the auto fix ship glitch was fixed

oh and they did not even put the fix into the release notes wierd hu

And to those that fear the posting of other glitches

just so u know people some of these glitches are intentionaly in the game
for people who like it it keeps them coming back and paying.

kingshead come on now its obvious that this glitch is intentional
your invisible so people can not report you your invincible and
its imposible to leave kings as either invisible or invincible


these things are there for a reason and theres many others big d
does not care about like flying and so many others .

if you knew anything about the creators of this game you can see that.

oh and i was not braging about the glitches i was making the auto fix ship
glitch sound like a real problem otherwise it would not have seemed like one.

The issue with repairing while sailing is that yes, you can still take them down,but only with your strong side full and high lvl cannoneers firing and even then, your only doing the minimum damage allaowable becuzz they are keeping their hulls repaired, Its very aggrevating to chase someone down that had a sliver of health only for them to turn around and attack you at full health again. It takes away from my enjoyment of an entertainment service that I pay for and therefore needs to be fixed. If this is not fixed soon, Ill just stop paying my subscription. disney needs to fix it pronto or others will follow suit.

I'm sorry people attacked you for posting the glitch. It just goes to show how adamant people are about cheaters. As I said before, I don't think it was the factt hat you posted it, just that some misunderstood the reasoning behind posting it. I for one appreciate it and I am VERY glad they fixed. I got on a server where there were no SvS going, and got my ship damaged just to check if they had addressed it, and they had! I was so happy to find it fixed!

I went and found a server with SvS to check it against other players, and it was apparent the cheat was not working. I love it!

Now, I may go and finish the French and Spanish quests. LOL

I think the key here is that if your going to post a glitch, its best not to present it like:

hahaha I found a glitch, and I can cheat with it!!!

That attitude will get negative feedback everytime for the reasons Rackat mentioned.

Many have posted glitchs without recieving the response that captaindruidblade did on one other thread. Delivery is everything.

I went and found a server with SvS to check it against other players, and it was apparent the cheat was not working. I love it!

I played for a couple hours the other night and it was totally great. No cheaters (I don't think)...just one guy in a light sloop. After a couple of good battles (most of which he won), his health meter quit showing up when I was hitting him. Tried to sink him a couple of times and the health meter would only show up if i rammed him. I think I was hurting him, but it just wasn't telling me. I switched servers after his health meter quit showing up. Next server, no problems...all health meters, everyone getting damaged and having fun.

Now if I could only get a crew....

I have also seen this happen. I wonder if it was intentional, or if it was an unwelcome failure of the software?

I hate the cheats on this game. I have experimented with some of the glitches since the game first started. I never really used any of them but at first thought they were kind of cool.
I now hate them all and am constantly turning them in even though nothing seems to get done about it. SvS is out for me. I have yet to be in a battle that did not have at least a few people in glitches even on the test server. What fun is that?
Today a level 33 asked me to do a PVP. I am close to finishiing off my fourth level 40 and i have always kept my weapons really weak so i can level faster. ( and without using glitches) So since my level 23 sword is about the same as most level 15 swords I agreed to the pvp with this guy thinking it would be a fair match. We agreed on no dolls or staff (Mine are maxed anyway) It was supposed to be only he and I. So when the match starts he has a person not only healing him but also throwing knives at me while trying to hide in the background.

ROTFL - You clicked YES to a PvP and were surprised to find cheating? POTCO team battles make SvS look like a bastion of fair play.
