Ships Not only shoot back, but...They follow you and gang up on you! I just had 3 ships follow me from PR to Tortuga- shooting at me the entire time! And yes your ship now really gets damaged! I also climbed aboard a Navy ship and battled some officers in the port at PR! Lots of new details!

Are you kidding me?? These ships are a MOB!!! I decided to take my light galleon out for a spin. Went to attack a lvl 7 navy vessel. Realised he was kicking my butt so I jumped back on helm and ran off back to port to repair.

Only to realize that the navy ship followed me back to port, along with a lvl 3 War Frigate!!!! They shot my ship to pieces right in port!!!

I set sail and got out of there to tortuga. But could I reach there?? HA!!
Who do I see behind me? A little Navy light sloop catching up to me pretty fast. And behind him, the same War Frigate lvl 3. They BOTH started shooting at me. I couldn't out run them.

I crashed a little after that. But WOW!!! I sure need a crew now.

But I would wish they not shoot at us in port. No fair. There is no safe harbour at all.

Oh no, I'm dead!!!! All I have is my freebie sloop...

Man...I can't even outrun a little crab...how am I gonna outsail an entire navy?!

No kidding! I actually started shooting at a Navy ship, and grappled him in. I was able to board and battle the officers, but then they sunk me! I was stuck swimming all the way back to Tortuga! It took forever! Another ship came by and tried to crew me so I could board, but you still need to be docked to board a ship! Blimey! They gave us no option other than swimming forever to get back to a port!

Mine does not say Tongs from a a first mate anymore, it say from a Sergeant. I have killed 3 Sergeants and each time it says it is looking for tongs, but does not find them

yea, and your broadside cannons shoot straiight up in the air, so you can't hit anytime

So what happens if you get sunk? You lose your ship and have to buy another? Do you have to level those cannons up again?

You don't lose skill in a game. Can lose your ship or life, but not your skill.
I have been sunk before this update, but it was probably due to bug. I just opened my journal and called my ship again. Don't know what happens if they sink you this time around.

You might have to buy back a new ship or repair the existing one you have. Although I don't know how you would repair a ship at the bottom of the sea.

If you watch the extra features in "Cars", just that water fall was too much for the computers they were using to generate it... Kind of makes me wonder if all the water in the game is bogging it down...

I teleported off a ships, but I think they are docked... But if I were working on the game I would add a tonic you could use to call sea turtles to bring you back to shore... Every part of the screen is moving when you are swimming... that can't be good...

First thing this morning I got to sink a few ships with a cannon that poped up next to the place you buy ships... Right in the sand. I sunk 2 ships, and hit the war friget a few times... When I got off the cannon, there was another one right next to it...

My ship was sunk & I was waiting to get it fixed.... A lot of ships were sailing right through the town too...

If you get sunk, you pop back in jail, lose more morale, etc.

As stated above, none of your skills/stats ever go down, except for your current health/voodoo, but the maximum values will not go down.

Your ship will have take a lot of damage, so it will be back in your bottle but need to be repaired. If you cannot find a Shipwright to repair it, here's a trick:

Find a Dockworker and deploy your ship. Hop on and grab the wheel. The "Dock & End Adventure" button will appear. Press TAB and click it. On the bottom of the first tab of the Plunder window will be a button that says "Pay for Repairs" click that!

I was on a burning Navy ship last night and that War Friget (you can board but everybody shoots at you). It went right across the center of the ship, we were almost on the dock too, so it had to have sailed into town.

I can't wait until we can post screen shots... Hmm, the graphics are OK (but there are free games on the web with better, "Voyage of the Century")...

Now I got to go read the rules again, it seems like they made it sound like you could lose your beta account for even posting about the game... But since this forum is for testers only can we also post screen shots, without Nick having to worry about Disney coming after him?

Anyway, just like Toon Town, if you F9, you get big shots in your Disney folder.

I've only seen one Navy ship so far stuck inland (I didn't have time to get that shot). I wonder what is in there today.

Hmm... just like I thought, this is from the FAQ's

When you get sunk, you don't end up in jail- at least I don't. I end up swimming forever to get back to a port. You lose your ship, but only until you get back to a dock and can recall it. There should be a way to either teleport while swimming, or recall your ship from the water, or at the very least allow you to board someone else's ship. If someone could pick you up at sea, it would make a whole lot of sense.

All great suggestions. I have the same problem' and have found it easier (and quicker) just to logout and back in rather than make a loooong swim to shore; that is if I'm not throen under water and have to use Windows to abort the game.

Monkeybugs, I have never tried it so let me know if it works. Can't you click open your Map (M key) and then click on Port Royal (or any other country) and be teleported there, instead of swimming?
