Weapon suggestion
Ok, now I know what everyone is thinking, we have enough weapons, yadda-yadda-yadda.
Now we all know the typical saying, grenades are the worst, they're useless (aside from the passives), not many situations they can be used in, etc. If we can have grenades, why not add new weapons that people would enjoy? The game weapons are based off of the weapons of that time, which is a good thing. But not all weapons or incorporated into the game. Not every pirate of the time had their cutlass, dagger, pistol, etc. on their person at all times. Fists were probably used alot So my first weapon suggestion isn't really a weapon, but more of a fighting option in the game to level. I think fists/kicks should be used in the game too. Now I know everyone is gonna say, but you have all the weapons, why would you want to use fists? Well, why not? It would be interesting to beat down a sea beard with more boxing/martial arts style moves, and the fists are a part of the body used in everyday fighting. The passives could be amazing too. Imagine a skill that allows you to increase the damage of weapons more and more as skill points or used on them? Or skills that could be used to decrease the damage from enemies on yourself (defense). And like every other weapon (although not a weapon itself) it would have its own combo that Im sure everyone would like: Starting from level 1: Right Hook (start of combo) Left Hook (second part of combo) Level 2: Unlock elbow (throws a smashing elbow at the enemy) as the first combo skill you could use, such as sweep is unlocked for cutlass Level 3: Upper cut (third part of combo) Level 5: Increased Damage (passive) Adds +4 to weapons/fist/kick damage, and so on Level 7: Guard (combo skill) Use to decrease damage from enemies up to 50% (depending on skill points used) for 5 seconds Level 10: Kick (combo skill) These are a few ideas for combos and passives Now here are a few for weapons ideas, I mean c'mon, you're not a pirate until you've fought dirty, right?: For level 1-5, just your bare knuckles Level 5-10, brass knuckles (+3 damage) Level 10-15, Spiked knuckles (+5 damage) Level 15+, Poisoned spike knuckles (+8 damage, 15% chance to poison enemy) I won't go any further into details, because I'm not expecting this to be used, but it is definetly an interesting idea, and it could be usefull. I hope to here feedback from you guys of both the pluses and minuses of this idea, tell me what you think, what you think would be major flaws, how good it is on scale of 1-10, all of that stuff. I wouldn't approach anybody that had a cutlass or dagger with bare hands: if I was close enough, I guess a pistol or grenade might require it; however, if someone has a stick or a doll in their hand, I'd think they'd not be so imposing.
Regardless, heavier weapons is why. |

Yes, this suggestion is the primary suggestion every time conversation of new weapons comes up. Your not alone at all.
Good idea... hehe just this subjects been cooked so many times now.. I dont think Disney wants to promote fisticuffs however, and probably why it was left out. |

Although I don't see hand to hand combat coming any time soon, (unless of course POTCO came up with an enemy that only used fists...hmm) there sure are times I'd like to take a swing at some of those navy brats. "what are you doing here?" oh yeah, ask me again! ...well what do you think?!? Comin to off you!

Actually hand to hand combat sounds great, there are a few times that I could have used that option on nearby players. Maybe a body-slam or drop kick would be nice.

I think its a great idea. I would see it as your default "weapon" which would be at the ready when none of your regular weapons are drawn. It could be used to stun an enemy long enough for you to run or prepare your attack. If nothing else you could use it on very low level enemies like cadets or gravediggers that aren't worth drawing a weapon on. Just click on "punch nose" and said low lvl is disabled long enough to walk away.

There have definately been times, I would have liked to punch a couple of those eitc/navy buggers!!!
