Somebody: How do you fight outside of PvP?

I hack them with a sword.

League: That's how!

On a more serious note, yet, altogether, not serious at all, I haven't been on, nor do I have any idea of whether what I'm saying is possible or not. I had a thing to do on Halloween. I dunno if it's still on, so I'll guess I'll go check.

Very disappointing ...

Took my level 36 pirate to Port Royal ...

After waiting for so long for the moon to become full ... there were so many people moving close together at the same time ... that the lag was terrible ...

I could not move ... and ended up in jail faster than you can say Jack Sparrow ...

Such a long wait for so lame an experience ...

Im not impressed Disney ...

try again today, but on a less populated server. If you stay away from the most densely packed oceans, it can be a great bit of fun!

I tried it one time yesterday, on my lag infested computer. I have to agree with what other people have said about the lag being terrible during the full moon, but it was indeed an interesting experience. Sitting on Tortuga waiting for the moon to go full cycle, there were a good 15 - 20 other people around the island with the same intentions in mind. I ended up being one of the last 4-5 on the tortuga mainland that was a skeleton, then took out 3 of the other 4 before the moon waned over and the curse was lifted.

Overall, it could have been slightly executed better, possibly having it so that anyone cursed could not run in to the woods or anywhere to get away, as the last skeleton just couldn't accept defeat and disappeared through one of the giant archways to the Tortuga Graveyard. Also, maybe have it last a bit longer. 10 minutes was a nice idea for an event such as this, but it doesn't give you the full opprotunity to search the islands for cursed pirates.

mine was utterly horrible. i waited a long time for it to happen. first a few pirates were there about 6 or so. after 20 min. there was like 25 or so, all higher levels. by the time the 5 min. warning came there was 60 or so, but it might have been 100. one min. before i got major lag, then got disconnected. by the time i got back there was only 10 cursed and everybody was hunting them down.

I actually liked that you could run into the jungles. Chasing/being chased through more than just the town added a new element for me. One pirate chased my husband through Kings Run with her doll and took him out completely, then turned to come after me. If you don't want them to get away, run after them! It allows for more than just a mob attack

Oh, don't get me wrong, I loved the aspect of having to chase them through the jungles and such, it's just that with so many people causing lag on a server if they even get the slightest head start through a tunnel, they're gone before you even get to the next map. ^^

My first full moon experience was rather depressing. My guild and I were oh so ready to dominate the area, but then I had a lag attack and was disconnected right when we became undead.
The second experience was better, I was able to kill about 5 people (Not noobs!!!) before I eventually died, (love those seige charges).

Overall I rate this event a 8/10; the lag is almost unbearable but the fighting without PvP is my kind of thing, since I don't offically do PvP unless it's against a guildmate or friends.

OOOOOO I was on abassa throwing Seige from the hill

Rather amusing to me seeing all that damage, considering my first time was down below and I got staffed to death before I could walk 3 steps.

Angry :p

My experience wasn't particularly good with the full moon thing.

It seemed all the punks from PvP came out to terrorize most of us decent ppl while we were trying to enjoy the special event. I found myself having to defend the ladies in my guild more than actually participating in the "fun." In addition, the event made the whole game extremely unstable (i.e., ALL enemies would skip about instead of playing through their respective "walk" animations).

I noticed a LOT of cheating during the events. There were some who thought it acceptable to glitch onto the tops of hills and behind "treelines" to flame skull and siege charge everyone else. As you can imagine, I became quite heated at this.

I did have the great pleasure of knocking out a Lvl 40 on Tortuga. The delinquent punk was glitched behind the treeline on the east side of the coast, just behind the shacks supported by stilts.

How did I do this?

I wedged myself between the huts, just close enough to bust the deadbeat with several shots of maxed steel shot from my grand pistol. It was funny to see my targeting reticule move about as he tried to get away. He eventually moved a bit.

I tracked him to a wedge in the wall just north of the gunsmith shop in town. I continued hammering that bloke with steel shot, alerting my crewmates to the egregious offense taking place. One of my crewmates managed to get behind the wall; she helped me finish the offender off. And yes, I was saying things like "Cheater!" in the local chat. He knew I was after him. It felt great to shout "VICTORY!" and run the "/celebrate" emote when he went down

So I can't say my experience was all bad. I did get to exact a little justice against a cheater. The only thing I feel bad about is decimating a poor lvl 2 who must've been caught outside unawares.
