My k/d ratio is usually anywhere from 6:1 to 8:1...depending on the map and players it can at times be higher...also know that I've been playing FPS games since the original Wolfenstein/DOOM/etc up through today's modern shooters...so I have a bit of experience having formed clans, playing in competition ladders and organized leagues like PGL/CPL/etc as well as being one of the top leaders in a major gaming community up until a few months ago... To answer Mac's question about turning up the combat training, I would honestly answer no...for two reasons: 1) playing against bots are fine, but on higher difficulty levels they'll pick you off with out of this world shots that most human players could not pull off simply because they're controlled by the computer... 2) playing against 'real' foes is far better because they can make mistakes same as you...they're also unpredictable which means you have to think how to outsmart them...bots become predictable over time... There are so many that just run-and-gun, bunnyhopping their way around a map just out for kills and fame...the ones who score higher are actually the ones who sit in wait that know the most travelled places/routes, the best hiding spots, etc and pick off those that are just out running around instead of trying to play as a team and staying in a group/squad...when you R&G you might be running so fast that you miss a player sitting patiently in a corner with their sites on you... Sure there's some that do good with the R&G method, usually running so fast that they'll knife you before shooting at you...but they're easily delt with if you know how...same as with other opponents...you basically need to know when to throw a grenade or flash bang and where to toss it...and just as most people when firing will stand there and shoot, just drop or go prone soon as you see them and then fire... Most important...learn the maps inside and out... Hope that helps some...

So I was playing a few games of Combat Training on Nuketown with my friends and the 4 of us decided we would all use Sam Turrets, Care packages, and Sentry Guns as our killstreaks. So we start to earn a few kills and then suddenly the entire Air force pretty much, comes in and drops off Care Package after Care Package. So we set up a fort of Sentry Guns and Sams and it was literally impossible for the enemy to survive 3 seconds in that yard without getting blasted by a spray of sentry gun fire.

My most perfect game is 22-6. I'm not that good at this mostly because I'm always in the open.

Also has anyone heard that a new Company called Sledgehammer was formed by the employees at Infinity Ward ( The makers of COD: 4 and MW2 ) that quit and they're supposedly making a new COD game. Also I think Infinity Ward is making MW3. If the game follows the same 1 new COD every year trend then MW3 will be released this November. |

I have to honoestly say that the only problem with these games lately is that they're all clones of each other...from CoD to MoH to BF:BC2...what I liked about the older CoD games is that they were more in depth then the newer ones...I actually have more fun playing CD2 or MW, even BF2 or the older MoH games that many still play online then the newer ones cause on the older games it's not about stats, it's about team work and objectives...I prefer hardcore servers that have you use iron sights only, no running/bunnyhopping (run only to cover on some servers), where people actually talk to each other ingame over voice about what's going on...
Plus, if things go the way they are going, Red Orchestra 2 will hands down beat Black Ops...the gameplay (both story and multi) reinvents instead of just another turkey shoot... Plus it's rumored that Gearbox will most likely do another Brothers in Arms, albiet it possibly in modern times...after they're done with Duke (finally!) that is... |

I have to agree with ya there Wolf. I actually felt the earlier MOH and COD games starting to grow on me... LoL MoH was my beginning in FPS.
I do miss the grenades almost killing me, the rooms filled with ten guys, jumping in an airplane and shooting down planes while bombing a city.... Those were the days. Now its, "RC-XD Inbound" and "Wow! Thats stupid noob is using second chance. WoW!!" If I could go back in time and tell them to keep making games like CoD BR1 and MoH Vangaurd, I certainly would... |

IMO MoH Frontline is the best FPS of all time. Anyway I'm just playing Black Ops until March when Homefront comes out.

I never played the console versions...only MoH:Allied Assault which also incl Spearhead & Breakthrough, MoH:Pacific Assault and MoH:Airborne...if you play on the PC (which to me has better control then a gamepad), go buy the 10th Anniversary bundle wich incls all 5 games...well worth the money, plus special bonuses...

____________________________ Also, anyone else miss WaW? I rage-quitted and sold my disk for the Xbox because of the (broken) SMGs. Seriously? Hip-fire me from across the map with an MP-40? /grumble. But I do find it addicting on the Wii a bit. Not to mention, I own everyone in Hardcore TDM that aren't hackers or are close to my skill level. The Wii version is good because my reactions seem a little quicker, but the hit-markers are trash. And, no zombies. I'm thinking about buying WaW again and all the Map Packs just to play the original zombies again. I really miss them. |

I have some info on the new zombie map.
Supposed to take place in an area like the popular multiplayer map, Launch. Or, for all of you that played campaign, the mission where you save Weaver... |
