Weird, Weird happenings!
Well, last night I was playing at Port Fort leveling doll on the test server...
A crewmate made the mistake of stepping too close to a level 28 Merc who promptly attacked him, and made short work and a quick trip to the brig. IMMEDIATELY after offing my crewmate, he came after me. Now, I was under the overhang area leading out to the back 'patio' level where the high levels are. (Hired guns, mercs, etc.) I was there the entire time he was well, dying, and I never stepped out, and never attacked the merc. He ran RIGHT over, and attacked me - I quickly died. Well, I TP'd back to the remaining crewmate - the Lvl 28 was now standing under the covered area, and when I would move - I kid you not - he would move to watch EVERYWHERE I went. It started out as a joke - I could walk circles around him, and he would turn to follow - all my crewmates were laughing. Well, none of us wanted to get attacked, so one of us was going to bait him over. We've all seen frozen enemies who don't attack, but they also dont seem to take damage.... THIS Merc was frozen, yet, was taking damage, and when being attacked, he was STILL following me.  Made for some fun jokes, and some GREAT rep after myself (level 15) and three other low level crewmates/standers by jumped in. It took about 4 of us to whittle him down.... one of the funniest things Ive ever seen. Reported it - Ive seen some 'obsessed' enemies who follow (turn) me before - ALWAYS after coming back from Jail after they kill me.  Anyone else had any funny enemy encounters?? This was an odd glitch - firstly, being attacked after I wasn't even close - if it goes after crewmates, it left the last remaining alone after I died. Hmmm... |

Sounds like he had it out for you......lol. The strange thing I've been running into lately is EITC ships spawning right next to you and unleashing explosives immediately. Then you somehow end up surrounded and snow plowed by several others simultaneously! Down with the EITC I say!

I think it has been a little change in some of the new stuff from what I have seen.
Someone runs through like quarry, pulling a few eitc, then exit and the attackers take a straight line back to spawn spot. Any player in that line back they attack. This combo like ships, if you die or leave area is glitching the enemy/ship. Going back to the same ship in this case was leading to it not engaging you, or firing back, like the invulnerability glitch that use to be around. Enemies seem to also being acting weird in these same situations. I haven't gone to jail in any of these cases so can't say much on the enemy side of it. |

Well it's not much of an enemy story as it is a fort charles story. The funny thing is is that this was in the old fort charles. I got right next to an eitc grunt, and attacked him then he froze. We all ended up (everyone in my guild) came looking at me and said I wasnt moving, and I thought I was in tortuga in the faithful bride I said that and they said your at fort charles stuck in a glitch with a grunt. (Like stuck still while trying to attack him.) Well they all came to the faithful bride and said I wasnt there. so I just walked around and said things and noone knew where it was coming from.

Here's another weird one. Had just "swung" back onto our ship after finishing off an enemy Flag Ship and all of my crew mates were commenting on how I was down in the deck of the ship with just my head sticking out. According to my view I was walking around totally normally with my feet on the deck. It stayed that way until we docked. Very strange!

I have had some strange things happen like that. I was on Padres and was going to go to the back beach. There was a Navy dude standing right in front of the tunnel so I ran over and whacked him a couple times with my sword. He took damage and swung at me. Then all of a sudden he stopped swinging and stood there and said something about that pirate coward ran away. I tried to damage him again to no avail. He was invincible at that point. I was ticked. I am no coward!! And I'm standing right in front of you, you idiot!! Argh

I was in Ft Charles on test with me pirate who just turned 19. I was healing another pirate...as much as I could with me current healing skills, so he could try to level his sword. The Merc woke up and startied chasin me...He was like level 29. I knew I was on me way to jail when the merc hit me one time & half me health was gone. I had managed to attune him and ran...since me dolly is only like level 9, the merc's health was not going down very quickly. Fortunately, the pirate I had been helping managed to attune me as I ran around and healed me until the Merc was dead. No one set the merc off...I guess his alarm clock just went off...lol

Some strange (but cool) glitch. It doesn't happen too often so I take the advantage when I can. I know, not much help.

Once on the Old Tortuga [I think it was Tortuga, maby it was Cuba.. (BTW, they changed Cuba... it looks different)] there was a gator in front of bridge portal thingy (like the thing that leads to the Pantano River or Misty Mire) and we kept trying to kill it, but we kept missing no matter what weapon we used, and it killed us all several times (it was like level four and we were level ten and up) before we finaly gave up. I call it the magic parrying, dodging, spirit warding aligator from the lava of Padres.
BEWARE! IT STILL HAUNTS THE SHORES OF TORTUGA (of Cuba) ON WHATEVER SERVER THAT WAS TODAY!!!! |

happened to me with some enemy in tormenta cave. I easily finished my quest for him because he didn't attack. wow. I actually TRIED to do it! I got the idea from here.

All of the following happened yesterday. At different times throughout the day. Some happened during lunch, others in the evening.
On PDF. A guildmate TP'ed to me, She was standing right next to me, but I couldn't see her. She attuned me, and I could see that, but not her. She went into a building and TP'ed to me again. Everything was back to normal. We were sailing, and had a full cargo, I couldn't find Port Royal. It wasn't there at all. No island, no Port Royal hanging in the air, not on my map either. I launched my War Galleon, we sailed in a crew til we filled the cargo. I tried to land at Tormenta, and never got the Drop anchor button. Sailed over to PR, and no Drop anchor button. Ended up at Outcast, and was able to drop anchor. Immediately, tried to relaunch, and the launch screen acted as if my ship was still at sea. The only option I had was to board the Galleon, the other two ships werent available. We all boarded the Gall, but then NO ONE could take the wheel. At least 4 poeple tried, and no one could steer the ship. We ended up TP'ing off, and had to launch someone elses ship. The person who launched next, froze as soon as he got his ship launched. He just stood there, couldn't move, but could chat, while we sailed one round. We landed, and my ships were all available to launch. I launched again, and this time, after sinking 4 or 5 ships, I got booted. I could not log back in. I tried twice, then did a full computer reboot and still couldn't get back in game. Finally gave up and went to bed. All of these events happened on 'quiet' servers, and not all on the same server. All in all, it was a pretty glitchy day.

On the test server, i sunk a Behemoth in Phantom alley which they now spawn in as a hotspot,
I was heading to a Death Omen, when suddenly, another Behemoth Spawns in front of me while i had my camera in the front of my ship, he shot firebrand and explosives, and i made it out though... Another weird thing was, when i landed, my ships were on the map, even a public ship! |
