Thumbs down Yikes...SvS takes a turn for the worse

I haven't done much SvS in awhile and have left that quest to gather dust...hoping some of the SvS glitches would have cleared up by now.

So i set out this weekend to work on the quest and the first thing i notice is that all the boats, spanish and french, show up as blue on the compass. This made it nearly impossible to keep track of enemy ships on the compass. Add to the fact that the few active SvS servers tend to have a lot of ships on them and your compass becomes almost useless. Big Problem!

To make matters worse there appears to be a no repair bug as well. After taking damage you go to make a repair, stand over the repair spot and no green circle. Tried porting and re-launching...same thing. I then crewed up on another boat only to find that the captain couldn't repair either but a couple crew members could. So it appears to be a bug with individual pirates. Logging out and back on several times got my repair functionality back.

anyone else have see this happening?

Oh...and i also witnessed the triple lightning shooting and the occasional invincible ship.

Edit: last night i also noticed that when the compass wasn't showing all ships as blue...it wasn't showing any of them at all!!!

SvS is just a pain now unfortunately. We were SvS'ing the other night and we couldn't repair either. After sinking each other a few times, the green circle magically appeared. I dunno what we did but it worked pretty well. The compass still has its glitches unfortunately too. Only red colored ships I see on my compass anymore are just the regular NPC ships.

I noticed the green circle problem, never did get circles. Eventually after a dozen or so tries I got to heal. Appears a glitch also on the ships now, and sail speed is not repairing. I finally had to go run up to a ship and take fire, so I could finally go and pay to get it fixed.

Repairing with circles never healed it, wouldn't let ya pay until I went and took this other damage.

Have had or witnessed all these problems as well. I have found that teleporting to any island and back onto your ship usually fixes the repair glitch, but gets to be SUCH a hassle on busy servers. I'm also having problems with our ship sinking, and when it comes back under the bubble, I have solid blue on my screen and my pirate can't do anything but spin in circles. Teleporting to an island just puts me under the island. I've recently gotten back into SVS after getting tired of trying to level my grenades, and this glitch has ruined many a good battle for me. I think D is just putting out the updates so close together that glitches, bugs and things are going to pile up after a while. I do hope they fix it though!

And don't even get me started on that darn compass... >=(

SvS should be repaired before anything else

That part of the game held so much promise but it is a disaster to play. Glitching on purpose is one thing but when so many things go wrong the only thing left to do is log out (happened four times in an hour and a half) it is just too frustrating to deal with.

However, if the "Imagineers" have to dump that entire part of the game in order to move on to adding levels 40 to 60 to the story quest it is fine by me.

Last night was terrible. Nobody could repair and ships appeared to bounce around from LAG I suppose.

Im so tired of Ship PVP - I have the quests I never finished, and the game won't allow me to drop them. Ugh. I personally hate SPVP, and I agree - with all the problems, they should move on to creating more playable quests, or notor cap - after all, I don't know that many people who truly enjoy SPVP.
