Could anybody actually claim that these updates are worth while? I mean, are they actually worth paying for when they actually come out? Doesn't look like we have any new Skills coming out of this. And I also wonder, if anybody has a level 40, did the reputation points you earned after you mastered convert to level 41-43ish? May be a lot to ask, but really, Pirates has really done nothing too great in previous updates, and this seriously doesn't sound too fun. I like the new caves, and I like the higher leveled enemies, but it seriously doesn't look like enough to keep people back for long. Besides, with all the speed glitches going around, we'll have a level 50 by the first 3 days the updates are added. If they really want to fix the game, they'll fix the speed glitches.

I will continue to pay with these new updates because it will give me something to do other than standing around chatting with people. When I max out the new levels, I will still continue to pay after that, because it looks like Disney has finally gotten on track with this game.
Yes, I have complained many times about some of these useless updates (Revive), but I am glad D has given us older players something to do for the time being. |

Having been to the other side and having seen the new updates firsthand, I have to say, "Yes!" the updates are worth paying for. Not only are the new cave environments impressive, they are no longer cookie cutter copies of one another.
Each cave is its own world with unique layouts, art direction and maps. Even different parts of the same cave are unique to other parts of that cave. Someone worked very hard on these designs and they are well worth the wait. Another great part of the update is, of course the Rep Caps being raised. But what is rarely being discussed is the overall improvement of the sailing experience. Ships are smoother, faster and (THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU!) the ships no longer lose all of their built up momentum for the slightest of course changes. I am impressed with this update and have only found, so far, one thing to report. I reported it and Disney wrote a personal note back almost immediately requesting further clarifications and explanations. Again...I am impressed. |

First they complain about no updates, now they complain ABOUT the updates. Make up your minds people, THIS update is really great! I also like to think of ramming a mine cart into the Navy while in B'S Quarry... what? One can dream, can't he?
Also, somewhere in the Quarry, on the right of a rock bridge thing, you can walk off and walk above the lava, but it doesn't let you go far out into the world of nothingness. |

Right now my guild master on test leveled once around ni notoriety after he got to level 40 before these updates.
When he is offline it shows him at level 41. When he is online it shows him at level 40! Is this a bug or which of the two levels will be right? |

It is a bug, its more than likely the 40.

Could it be that because DxD does not track test that there was nothing in place to kkep track of rep after 40 thats why its not showing up on test.

In my opinion the updates are completely worth paying for.
Now this is the opinion of someone fresh off a several month hiatus from the game because of no new content, yet during that hiatus I continued to pay, with the faith that updates were on the way. And now here they are. We have higher level enemies, improved sailing, extensive new environments which are well thought out and well implemented. Not to mention the weapons and noto level increases. I'm extremely pleased. These updates show that, indeed, the devs have been listening to us and working to improve the game in areas we asked for. No, they didn't meet everyone's expectations, but that would be impossible with one update. They've done the most extensive update since I began playing in 12/07 and it gives me assurance that they're still comitted to the game and improving it. I agree with others who say that this update is a move toward what Disney originally intended before they felt pressured into early release. And the new Casa Muerte Guild quest on test clearly hints that more changes are on the horizon. You're admonished by the last guild member to be "aware of the signs" when they come. I believe that Jolly Roger is about to make a full blown appearance in the game. "Bring me that horizon"! |

I would like the idea of Jolly Saint Nick vs Jolly Roger in an all-out server battle. Make a server called Jolly, and have it members only, making it war on the server for all those who dare to join. I do however, think they may have a double rep weekend or so after these updates more than likely, which will be a good time for those really devoted sailors out there.
