I think I can guess the problem already, but I'll ask a few questions just to be sure.
For either to animate, the original animated image has to have dimensions that match or are less than the maximum dimensions allowed here at POF. If the dimensions of your image exceed that which PiratesOnlineForums.com allows, the site will automatically re-size the image to the maximum allowed size and remove the animation. Max dimensions for Profile Pictures are 250 x 250 ![]() Max dimensions for Avatars are 64 x 64

In that case, it would probably be the most helpful to me right now if you could upload the image to the gallery and post it here in it's original form that way I can see it and try to figure out what is wrong.

I think I understand the issue you now. You have the frames for the image saved together, but they're not actually animated as far as I can see. Do you have a copy of the actual animated image or is this the only copy you have?
If so you'll need an image animation program such as PhotoShop or Jasc Animation to merge the frames into a single animation. If you can't get one, I'm sure someone would be more than glad to do it for you. (I was going to but I don't have the proper software on the computer to split the frames from the single image.)

Can you upload the original then? If you have one on your computer that is already animated that is the one I would need to see in order to tell you what the problem is. If the one above is the one you're trying to use I can understand the issue, but without the actual file that you're trying to upload I can't help.

Alright, now I understand the dilemma. The skull itself may be under 64x64 pixels, but the empty space around it brings the file size up to 115 x 86. That's why it isn't animating when you try to use it here. The 64x64 dimensions include all dead (empty) space you leave around the image as well as the actual graphic.

Thank you for the help Jack! I was on my last straw because it would never work!
Do you think you could close the thread? |

If the problem is resolved, consider it closed.
