Birthday cookies on Friday 13th!
 Many years ago, my grandmother baked some of her unbelievably delicious chocolate chip cookies for my birthday. I sent some to a friend who was in prison, since he could not be there to celebrate with me. It started a trend. Since then, I have often shared chocolate chip cookies with my friends on my birthday. These cookies aren't just for the Wenches, either, but any of my pirate friends - or acquaintances! This year they may be virtual instead of real, but please, help yourself. Imagine they are the yummiest, most luscious chocolate chip cookies you ever tasted, ‘cause that’s the way my grandmother makes ‘em. Trivia time: today is also Stellan Skarsgård’s birthday. If you know who he is - without looking it up! - you may have an extra cookie. |
