Worst weapon?

In your opinion what's the worst weapon?

Grenades, but NOT because they take too long to level up.

More because thier usefulness is minimal.

I have to agree on that and I'm not even an unlimited acess. But they just seem pointless. Seriously, how many pirates do you see every day throwing a grenade? It's imo, for ships so you can take them out easily.

Cannons are one of my favorite weapons as far as I can say.
But I can never level them up because i can't find a captain who wont sink my ship or a captain. It takes a while for me to level my cannon up.
I still don't have fury and i'm almost level 37.

Please don't feel you are alone. With an awesome guild member that handles a ship like a pro, I was lvl 38 before I got fury.

Who says grenades has no use, ha. They have one of my most favorite uses of all weapons.

Scenario: Kings with your 20 level character using grenades on the soldiers, a level 30 comes in with staff, and thinks he owns the place. Level 40 comes in and kills everything with one hit siege bomb. level 30 gets mad and leaves. Now I feel good I didn't chicken out and run from a rude player in the game to another server, drive a boat across the sea, and find someone already there on this server. I love watching everything on the screen drop dead from one siege bomb.

As for cannon, almost all the characters I had it max first. Glitching works against you with cannon. Soon as you can get it to level 12, put immediately 5 points in lightning, that point on there is no ship on the sea safe from loosing its sails and easy prey.

Ok, perhaps, but no valid use in the game as its designed. Its still pretty useless.

I would never put 5 points in lightning, seems like a waste. I have 3 now, and sink ships with a couple shots. I am a notorious cannoneer in BB's often being the sole super power on cannons.. hehe. Too each his own.

Putting the extra points in passives where they help lightning, and other skills instead of focusing on one I dont need any stronger.

Cannons is usually the LAST thing I master, because all my friends want me sailing most of the time.

I hear you there.
Although because my grenades are so low level I think I have no choice but to have them be my very last weapon I master.

As for grenades being useless.
The only way I think they can't be useless is when your almsot dead and you need something to kill an enemy fast.

Although life drain really helps too.

On the flipside, "Life Drain" to me is the absolute bomb diggity best weapon skill of all the weapons. Makes nearly any critter a tonic bottle. hehe

I hated grenades while working on my first Pirate Master, but for some reason, after she mastered nades it felt much easier for my other pirates .

I am currentlly working on three same-level pirates together, and in one day I got two of them to level 13 and one of them to fifteen, all at King's Head. When they achieved smoke bomb, with a crew of three, they were getting 120 rep per soldier. I think it took about ten minutes per level. On one of my pirates, nades is the highest level weapon she has now.

JUST DON'T USE ANY POINTS TO INCREASE THE STRENGTH OF EACH NADE OR YOUR REP WILL DROP.



And I found it easier to level if I start working on getting them level as soon as I get them, as I put off doing that on my first pirate.

I also agree with u guys. IMO Grenade is harder to aim and gives very little rep.

The grenade really is useless after the group of veterans becomes gray, which then makes it VERY hard to level them up.

Grenades because they are useless. You can only "use" them to level up grenades.
