Problems that came with the latest update?

I'm having a lot of trouble when sailing now and it happened after the latest update. I no longer see an enemy ships health when i hit it with broadsides, unless i use ram speed first meaning i'd have to do that for every single ship (not the best for Phantom ships either). Also, when i sink a ship it doesn't tell me what cargo i collected, whether it'd be a royal chest or simple crates. The cargo increases but it never tells me what i get until i port and see the list of things i collected.

I just wanted some help getting it fixed do i need to use the report a bug page and link it with pictures and things or just the feedback box?


the picture shows me doing damage, but no bar showing, as well as the cargo increasing but no notice as to what cargo that is.


P.S. I can only hold 12 explosives all of a sudden, is it supposed to happen, did they change the amount you can hold?

ive found that if you get closer, or ram the enemy, it shows you the damage, but only sometimes

Mine's messed up the same way. However, you can click the cargo hold icon and see what ye got.

I've seen all the problems Nautical Nattie reports, fairly consistently. The enemy health meter has been all but gone for the last four days. Using "Open Fire" seems to make it worse. The times I DO get the health meter, it goes away before my broadsides finish recharging.

AFAIK, the problems with the enemy health meter started when they released SvS. In the last week, it got worse, sometimes spreading to regular sailing. But the last couple days have been absurd, with the enemy health meter making only a rare appearance (and only for a few seconds, when it does.)

I usually ignore the plunder box reports, so I was actually a little relieved they were gone; I didn't realize that was a programming error, too.

I've noticed today that my "Pirate Master" reputation meter turned from green to blood red. Sometimes. Very strange.

Didn't know about the cargo hold icon being active now. Very cool. Now if only there were a "jettison" for individual items in it...

this has been confusing me too, in regular battle i can deal with it but in privateering i can't tell if i should flee or fight.

Consistently lol yes i have a lot of problems. The pirate master bar has turned red for me too one time, but half the time it's only half filled with green and other times it's not even filled up at all, so i just ignore it So long as i know it's not just me having the problem it should get sorted eventually. My friend doesn't have any of the problems so i thought it was just me, thank you

if you click the 1/11 or 11/11 or whatever you have. it will show you the list. it was a little glitch/trick i found the other day.

All the of the problems you have stated also happen to me. And about the explosive thing, no, it is not a glitch or bug that you carry less of them. In the last update they lowered the amout of fire, thunder, explosive and fury that you can carry. Makes me sad.

I've been suffering this same problem with the Enemy Ship's health and lack of display what cargo they drop.

At first it was only once in a while, and seemed to happen only if I had been playing a long time. But now it's almost all the time, and it's VERY rare for me to even see the enemy heath bar now.

It started after the SvS update too.

I've ticketed POTC about it, but I always get the same reply from them: Update your video driver, or a condensending message about how "graphic intense" POTC is, and that I'm most likely not used to playing a game that "graphic intense" I'm my computer. :roll eyes:

Yes, I suppose other games I play like Oblivion and COD4 just are not that graphically intense......

In anycase, I'm glad to see it's not just me.

It was working a while before but I thought only I had this problem. I can see what cargo it drops but in Privateering as other people have said it is really hard. Any solution on this?

I did some testing with this last night:

As long as I don't use the Open Fire! Command, I see the enemy's heath bar.

The moment I use Open Fire!, It stops showing.

Same thing for my wife on her computer.

:shrug:

Sounds like a bug to me, not a driver problem.
